WINNER of the 2011 Yuma Birding & Nature Festival
Birding-Themed Art Competition Hosted  by the Yuma Visitors Bureau. February 14th 2011.

In February of 2011, Gina was chosen by the Yuma Visitors Bureau to create two murals that were displayed and auctioned at the Annual Harvest Dinner celebrated during the Lettuce Days Festival in benefit of the Yuma Agricultural Producer's Scholarship Fund.

On April 16, 2011 Gina received two Awards at the Annual Artbeat 4 Festival in downtown Yuma: Best Presentation Award; the consensus of the Yuma Art Center Public Art Committee for best display representing attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and artistry in exhibiting artwork and Purchasing Award; the award given to one piece of artwork that the consensus of the Yuma Art Center Public Art Committee chooses to purchase and display in the Yuma City Hall as part of the City Art Collection.
